What you can expect from the job

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled EAI/EDI Integration Specialist to join our team. This role involves the development and integration of enterprise application interfaces using Seeburger BIS Middleware, project management across the full lifecycle, and technical consulting with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in middleware technologies, interface management, and a passion for solving complex integration challenges in an international environment.

Development, configuration and operation of EAI/EDI interfaces with Seeburger BIS Middleware and BIS Mapping Designer Technology

Working with connections via e.g. RESTful APIs, SOAP web services in data formats such as JSON, XML, EDIFACT, ANSI X.12 and SAP IDoc

Planning and implementation of (sub-)projects throughout the entire project cycle – from requirements gathering to mapping, testing, go-live and hypercare support.

Technical consulting for internal departments, close coordination with international teams and collaboration with external customers and partners

Analysis and processing of change requests, implementation of mapping adjustments, configuration changes and 3rd level support for complex interface problems

Creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles, interface descriptions (e.g. OpenAPI), test collections (Bruno/Postman, SoapUI)

What will help you do the job well

Must-have skills/ characteristics

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field is required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in working with EAI/EDI projects

Practical experience in EAI/EDI integration, middleware development, interface management or IT projects in an international environment

Strong expertise in developing, configuring with SeeBurger BIS Middleware and BIS Mapping Designer Technology.

Strong expertise in working with connections via APIs, web services and handing data formats like JSON, XML, EDIFACT, ANS X.12 and SAP IDoc.

Knowledge of programming languages (ideally Java), databases (SQL), mapping technologies (XQuery, XPath, XSLT) as well as experience with REST, SOAP, EDI standards and SAP IDoc.

Experience with version management (git) and pipelines, e.g. in Azure.

Experience in the independent planning and implementation of integration projects, coordination with interdisciplinary teams and ideally with agile working methods

Openness to new technologies, enjoyment of complex integration tasks and continuous professional development

Team-oriented, structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as very good communication in English

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Other desirable skills/characteristics

Knowledge of ISMS Principles and best practices.

Willingness to travel domestic/International.
